Natural BirthWorks

Natural BirthWorks is your birth center and your natural birth community. It began when Sandra and Gelena had a strong desire for a more natural and holistic approach to their health and lifestyle. The seed was then planted to help provide this natural way of life easily to others in the community. This is how our cottage, our sanctuary, was born.

 

Working with a Midwife is a specialized and intimate part of pregnancy and allows you to see and enjoy the magic that birth is meant to be. Low-risk women statistically have a better outcome when receiving care from a Licensed Midwife. In our birth center, our midwives will follow the Midwifery Model of Care:

 

The Midwives Model of Care™ is based on the fact that pregnancy and birth are normal life events. The Midwives Model of Care includes:

 

monitoring the physical, psychological and social well-being of the mother throughout the childbearing cycle
providing the mother with individualized education, counseling, and prenatal care, continuous hands-on assistance during labor and delivery, and postpartum support
minimizing technological interventions and;
identifying and referring women who require obstetrical attention
