Babywearing

Babywearing is a topic that we both love to discuss. As mothers, we learned about babywearing and its amazing benefits with our own children. We both used babywearing as a way to carry our babies and we found different types that we liked and used. Not only does it help mothers be hands free there are other well documented benefits and advantages to babywearing.

Mostly all of them:

Grows with the baby and versatile in using it many different ways. Good for nursing. Can be used from birth through toddlerhood.

Ring Sling: Excellent for hip carry with toddlers who want to get up/down a lot. Tail offers sun protection and modesty cover while nursing.

All: Strengthens the bond between parent and baby, as you maintain a closeness throughout your day, especially during the "4th trimester."Aids in baby's development, both physically and emotionally, including promoting early language development. Decreases risk of SIDS and flat-head syndrome.

There are so many benefits to babywearing but understanding the proper and safe ways to use them is extremely important. Following the T.I.C.K.S guidelines will help to evaluate how you're using your carrier.
